Bei Bezug von Elterngeld wird Zuverdienst genrell angerechnet, im Schnitt bleiben dir dann ca. 33 % des Zuverdienstes übrig. Ein hübsches Beispiel für so eine Berechnung findest du hier:

Anders ist es wohl, wenn du 2 Jahre Elternzeit nimmst. Da wird ja der Betrag aus dem Elterngeldanspruch nur halbiert und dafür doppelt so lange gezahlt. Da darfst du meines Wissens im zweiten Jahr wieder "normal" dazuverdienen, ohne, dass das angerechnet wird.

Ist halt immer die "Gewissensfrage", zu Hause sitzen oder mit Abstrichen beruflich am Ball bleiben. Aber da ich selbst Vater eines knapp 2-jährigen Sohnes bin, kann ich dir nur empfehlen so viel Zeit wie es geht deinem Kind zu widmen hehe Das wird schon früh genug von alleine selbstständig und lässt dir dann wieder mehr "Freiräume".
